From the initial planning phases, Veterinary Academy of Higher Learning (VAHL) has been extensively involved in the development of the new Center for Animal Mobility at the Ludwig Maximilian University and has continued to support the university with their expertise and diverse network. The veterinary medical faculty and the Veterinary Academy of Higher Learning are closely associated with one another as evident through their cooperative activities. For example, Dr. Barbara Esteve-Ratsch has been a faculty member with the Veterinary Academy of Higher Learning (VAHL) since 2018, and the VAHL reciprocates by providing lecturers for seminars at the university veterinary medical clinic. VAHL, in close cooperation with the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich, organizes physical medicine and rehabilitation academic continuing education for veterinarians in order for them to become Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioners (CCRP®).
As the global, exclusive license holder for the CCRP education program through the University of Tennessee (USA), VAHL supports the veterinary profession in providing a standardized, international certification in the field of rehabilitation and physical medicine.

Dr. Beate Egner is the managing director of a business and a veterinarian with many years of experience in both education and science based teaching to include its implementation in practice. In addition, she is a member of several international committees and working groups engaged in establishing a “veterinary physiotherapist” specialty worldwide. Dr. Egner is committed to ensuring that this title within veterinary medicine is reserved for trained veterinary specialists. The indications for physiotherapy as a treatment option are vast, and its correct and safe implement requires a substantial degree of expertise. Rounding out an optimally trained team, vocational training for veterinary assistants (VMPT®) is offered through the Veterinary Academy of Higher Learning in close collaboration with the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich and the University of Veterinary Medicine, Vetmeduni, in Vienna.
